Thanks for the comments. It was actually quite easy to achieve this effect in-camera. I was studying the light in the stream and it already had a faint golden quality to it, very faint, but there. I decided to use a Cokin Blue-Yellow polarizer to enhance the golds already there.

Quite reminisant of my trip to mars. Doesn't even look like water...very cool. Somehow wish something more was happening in it though. 6/6

I like the way you composed this. The stones form almost a perfect triangle, if one takes perspective into account. Another good point is the contrast between their sharp texture and the blurred water.

I would humbly propose a simple frame in a colour DIFFERENT from those already dominant in the picture. Some black or white or grey would IMHO enhance the effect you crafted so skillfully.

Yes, very well setup and capture. I too noticed the triangle in this picture which consciously and especially sub-consciously adds to the strong positive effect this photo has on people. Great work and imagination. Thanks, Eddie

...Orange is one of my most favorite colours. The mixture of this yellow and orange gives such sweetness to the eyes. I love the contrast of textures in this photo David, and i am glad you did not make the water completely misty. I enjoy the feel of the water flow because of its fluidy movements. Motions (or motionlessness) certainly create feelings, and this gentle flow ease the pain in my heart (since my father has just passed away a few weeks ago.)

The flow of water in a river/stream explains a lot about life in Buddhism. In any case, this photo makes me feel happy and serene besides the admiration for its beautiful simplicity, contrasting use of textures, sweet light and colours. I hope to imitate one like this someday :o). Warm regards,

Tanya.

Please accept my deepest condolences for the recent loss of your father. I hope you are doing well in such a difficult time. I appreciate you taking the time to write in this moment. If finding some pleasure in a photograph can offer even the slimmest light right now, that's a positive for you, no matter how small. Sometimes the smallest things can help ease the pain. Again, my sincerest condolences. Take care. David
