jayme 0 Posted October 3, 2004 Such wonderful detail. Didn't see it before the fix, but it looks wonderful now. I took one of my neighbor's earlier in the summer, deep red, no varigated color. The one I took was so big, it was difficult to get a macro and show much of the flower. Nice choice of crop. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted October 4, 2004 Howard, I like the composition a lot. The sharpness is very good as well. However, the lighting doesn't sit well with me for some reason. Although, a soft, uniformed lighting is appropriate for macro and flower subjects (instead of a harsh, front lighting,) it seems to me that there isn't enough light hitting the top 1/3 of the image. I wonder if a reflector card or a small amount of fill flash (especially coming from off-camera) would help. Again, just thinking out loud here. ^_^ Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted October 4, 2004 Why do you figure people rate an image with a 3 without explaining why they think the image is below average? It can't be because they like attacking people's sincere hard work. That just can't happen on Photo.net. The only explanation I can come up with is they must be bad at math. Link to comment

And you are always positive! Go figure. I just rate photos I like.....I think you are the same. Why waste time on a photo you don't really like? Link to comment
