robertbrown 1 Posted October 2, 2004 Comments, ratings appreciated on an impressionistic landscape: part of an ongoing series. Thanks Link to comment
matthew leong 0 Posted October 2, 2004 I would say this is an absorbing photo, though IMO it needs a strong focus interest to sustain this shot. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted October 4, 2004 I am enjoying the series. For this particular one, the colours blend well with each other and -again- there is enough detail to figure out what this is and then relax and enjoy the "impressions" it conveys. During this last phase of experiencing the image, though, I bump into the too dominant straw on the right, which is too bright and does not blend well with the global image. Link to comment
sef1664877429 0 Posted October 4, 2004 I really need to experiment more with this sort of thing. Done a few blurred grasses in the wind, but haven't pushed the envelope enough. Anyway, pretty much the same as the above really, I like it, but its another vote against the strand of grass on the right. I'm also not as keen on the two tall bits of grass just off-center, in front of the small tree, but that's nit-picking. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted October 5, 2004 Matthew, Hector, Kevin--thanks for your nice comments. Stephen and Salvatore--I think you're absolutely right about the stalk on the right. I like the colors in this one a lot, but the stalk does wreck it: and I'm not sure why it seems so sharp! Thanks for confirming my own fears. Link to comment
