AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted October 2, 2004 Good exposure. I might have tried to get past the fence, I can't see that it does much for the photograph. Link to comment
samscholes 0 Posted October 2, 2004 This seascape is nothing short of beautiful. The perspective you choose, the time of day and the composition all work well. I love the soft pastel colors and the quality of the fading sunlight shown here. Including a human element to give the viewer a sense of scale was also a good choice. Well done. As for the fence, I don't find it at all detracting. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted October 2, 2004 I think the fence is important in this composition. It makes it more unusual and adds some more texture to the shot. Nice work, Regina! Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted October 2, 2004 Again, I agree with Kim, the fence is important to the composition, it helps to add depth to the diagonal created by the beach. Lovely scene, peaceful. Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted October 2, 2004 First of all, I agree with all of Sam's main points. But I have to respectfully disagree with the following comments. There is enough texture provided by the vegetation on the beach itself, and depth would be immediately apparent fence or no fence owing to the relative scale of the person and the converging lines in the left of the frame. The fence is what makes this picture different from the usual beach sunset silhouettes, I'm just not sure it makes it better. Still, a photograph to be proud of. cheers,Aaron Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted October 3, 2004 Regina, apart from the beauty of the beach and surf, you have also captured a very nice shot of the earth's shadow climbing the eastern sky. That "deep purple" shadow is still to me one of the great challenges of photography, and I have yet to get it right. Congratulations on a very appealing shot. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted November 15, 2004 Regina, you've captured this scene well, with beautiful hues and light. I love the crisp detail in the seafoam. As for the foreground, the fence makes it interesting for me - a bit of vertical detail in all the horizontal lines. Lovely image. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 19, 2005 Wonderful prime light and soothing gradation of colors in the sky. The lone human silhouette gave it a focus point. Link to comment
