Castle decay

ian cameron

Duffus castle is great, not particularly big or exciting historically but it has all the fundamental elements I require in a castle, ruined dishevelled and a general absence of annoying white plaques. Best of all entry is free and it is open 24 hours a day a real benefit for photographers. From this viewpoint I have always thought it looks like a decaying molar sitting on a festering gum. Revolting, but I pray they never extract or "maintain" it. Please visit my website, Transient light, There are some superb new at Timecatcher too.

A castle or a broken decaying tooth. Depends on your viewpoint,

anyway it's free to visit and the sky was very pleasing, as were the

child like poster paint colours.

A really great shot. All seems always simple and evident with you. I suppose this is that which is called the talent.

it's really surreal, I love the happy colours contrasting the broken castle, reminds one of some crazy American buying it and building it up again on his private golf-course.

Fantastic image. Bold and brilliant, an explosion of colour. Excellent composition and striking subject. Great, great work. -David
