jmcconnell2 0 Posted September 30, 2004 Firse-class composition, the effects are beautiful, 7/7 Link to comment
mnigro 0 Posted September 30, 2004 Nice lines, true to the visual grid and well exposed. The water is washed out. I might darken it a bit. Well done. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted October 1, 2004 Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. I didn't use a polarizer, perhaps that would have inproved the brightness of the water. So glad you like it Jayme. It is your recent work with impressionistic shots that inspired me. Link to comment
erikadams 0 Posted October 1, 2004 I would have used a polarizer, dialed up to its maximum filtration, and I think that would have been a mistake. I like the bright water in your image, especially since it forms somewhat of a diagonal line. Link to comment
brianclark 0 Posted October 1, 2004 I like the simplicity of this. The eagret is well positioned and the colours are very complementary. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted October 1, 2004 I'm honored. This is so soft and pleasant, it makes me want to take off my shoes and wade in! Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted October 1, 2004 The pastel-like quality of the grasses are just lovely, and the egret a happy bonus! Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted October 2, 2004 Just a half second after I snapped this, my son caught a shot with the birds head imersed in the water as he grabbed his dinner (a fish). His timing was better than mine, but I like the anticipation in the pose here. Link to comment

Landrum Kelly 64 Posted October 2, 2004 I really like this, Regina. I bet that the original is nice, too. Was this near Topsail Beach? You are really getting to know the coast, aren't you? Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted October 2, 2004 Great shot Regina. The effects really add to the shot. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted October 2, 2004 Lannie, this is basically across the street from the beach. We were waiting fo the sun to go down to get sunset shots, so walked across the street to a small park behind a diving shop. The little inlet sort of glowed in the late day sun. We watched this egret for quite a few minutes. My son actually got a pic of him diving in for a fish. We then crossed back over to the beach side near the long peir and took several sunset shots (I have posted a couple) all in all a very fun day. We are about 2.5 hr drive from the beach and about 4 hours from the mountains. NC seems to offer a lot off photo opps. Going to Biltmore in Nov. I know the leaves will be gone by then, but am hoping for some good shots... maybe even some snow if we get lucky. Link to comment
