timcorridan 0 Posted September 30, 2004 it's tough to rate and crituiqe this photo. i'd wish the horizon was better. hey how about a crop. crop the photo down to the horizon or just a tiny above or below, if it looks good to you. take out all that distracting sky out. a great oportunity photo. 5/7 Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted September 30, 2004 This series is all near and dear to my heart, so I appreciate your objective comment. Initially, I like the sky. It seems to go with the ideal promised land concept that I am trying to push here. The tilted horizon does kind of bug, though (bad composer, tiff! bad composer!). I will try your suggestion. behel 0 Posted September 30, 2004 ...you can keep the sky and put the horizon horizontal. Link to comment
behel 0 Posted September 30, 2004 ...the tilted horizon emphasizes on a "end of the world" feeling.so it may be ok too, and i think maybe you could try to distort more to get this effect. Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted September 30, 2004 ...for a French guy! Thanks...I never would have seen that possibility. Link to comment
christos 0 Posted November 7, 2004 the tilted horizon is a must... this is not a decorative art!... and the photo needs a counter-balancing element of cross-reference... Furthermore, without sky at all something feels like with no air to breath.. i don't know if that fits... but I think some sky is important, oh... Behel's idea is a great addition, eye-capturing perspective!.. though perhaps too significant second element now... Very good work Tiffany! Link to comment

rascal64 9 Posted July 23, 2008 Thank you Birte. I really appreciate you and your time. I haven't REALLY looked at the flags in awhile. I think I might have to go out there and try this concept again. I must say...weathering and aging the flags was the most fun of the shoot. Link to comment
