eachica 0 Posted September 28, 2004 Out of the four submitted, I like this one best. Great pose, good, vivid colors. Beautiful. 7/6. Your other shots of this model are very good too, this one just caught my eye quicker. ;) Link to comment
mark f. 0 Posted September 28, 2004 Very nice color, and the way you cropped the photo works well. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted September 28, 2004 Busy background, colors competing with the model - this shouldn't work, but it does. Nice expression and pleasing composition. Link to comment
raywei 0 Posted September 28, 2004 Alec, I could almost tell which lens you used. :D This is a very good one. Link to comment
Bilal Zaheer 0 Posted September 28, 2004 Wow Alec! She's gonna love this one! you gotta print this one for her. the best of jessica i've seen so far. you could redo a bit of cloning on the top left corner. neverthless, 7/7 in my books! Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted September 28, 2004 I agree with the comment that the background is sort of busy, but the red tones of the kimono and the lip glossy make her stand out of the green with no problems. Same applies for the fern she is holding. I like the way you composed whis, with the line of the hair complementing the line of the fern and being pratically continued by the black border of the sleeve. As I've been following the series of attempts, you are definitly pulling more and more out of the lens-model-camera iterative experimentation. I have two remarks, though, which you might fix off-line. The eyes have a bluish cast, which is odd, and the white shirt is too distracting: it's the brigtest colour in the scene and this should not be. In syuh a shot you've the potential of having as brightest patches both the smile and the eyes, what should be the attraction for the eye, not that shirt. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted September 28, 2004 Thanks everyone for contributing. I must admit this was a rush job which is why the cloning is obvious. The light was too strong in the background and there is a bluish cast on her eyes due to the blue glass. Composition is OK though. Link to comment
wernher 0 Posted September 28, 2004 I was also about to suggest that the background was too busy.. but you needed to have a slightly higher DOF to keep her hands in focus. Like it. Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted September 29, 2004 The colors are eyepopping. The composition is wonderful and the smile on this lady's face is very engaging. Great job! Link to comment
jmcconnell2 0 Posted October 1, 2004 First-rate composition Alec, the light is perfect, 7/6 Link to comment
raywei 0 Posted October 2, 2004 I played with it just a little -- bringing down green and blue, maybe I over-did it like I usually do. Anyway, just for fun. Hope you don't mind. :D Link to comment

matthew leong 0 Posted October 2, 2004 Nice shot. Is it possible to bring out the texture in the hair as well? she has pretty nice flowy hair Link to comment
