beau 1664876222 1 Posted September 27, 2004 Not my usual type of thing, but I saw this guy and couldn't resist. Link to comment
michael_villarmia 0 Posted September 27, 2004 Nice to see there are still some film users around. Exposure could use some tinkering. Maybe composition needs work. But great way to capture that moment. Link to comment
beau 1664876222 1 Posted September 27, 2004 Michael, Yeah, at first I wanted to clean it up, and tried tweaking the contrast, making it level, cropping, etc., but finally I decided it works best as a loose, dark, slanted kind of shot -- I guess it suits the subject matter. Link to comment
dankapsner 0 Posted September 29, 2004 I found Edmo's comment that it has soul fitting; when I first saw it a religious ritual came to mind--I can't say why--but somehow it seems as if he has found his own personal Ganges River. Link to comment
over exposure 0 Posted October 3, 2004 It looks to me like a Tom Waits song protagonist... Nothing offensive in this photography when it comes from the heart.. Ciao! Link to comment
beau 1664876222 1 Posted October 8, 2004 Gabriele, that's exactly what I thought -- Tom Waits is about my favorite artist ever. Coney Island is mentioned in his songs a lot, actually. Link to comment
sionnac 0 Posted October 8, 2004 Agree, very Tom Waits, especially the birds and the carnival rides in the background. I listen to Bone Machine all October long. Anybody heard the new album? Link to comment
dibaphoto 0 Posted October 12, 2004 Nice one, check out Tom's new album "real gone" the rusty songs mold together like never before. Link to comment

michael s. 1 Posted March 19, 2005 "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy." (Tom Waits) And you've found another guy who, if he stops to think about it, would probably agree. I like the photo. Link to comment
