Daryl, First, you have a most impressive portfolio & I'll be back to enjoy some of your other offerings. As for this one, I am amazed that these snake charmers actually exist. I thought that scenes like this were like urban legends & only seen on movie screens, a Hollywood invention, if you will. As the owner & user of several 6x6 cameras I'm pleased that you recognized the value of the square crop. For some scenes, such as this one, it contains all the elements quite nicely and keeps the eye where it should be, on your subject. Of course the brightly coloured cloths assist in that as well. The snake's markings look interesting. Did you move in nice & close with the macro for some more highly detailed images? :-) Best, LM.

Thanks Len. Glad you like the square crop. I must admit I can see the attraction of the square format - sometimes it just works so much better. The uncropped version of this shot isn't bad as the foreground is quite interesting brickwork but unfortunately I managed to get half a person in the frame too which kind of spoils it. I didn't take any closer shots I'm afraid. This was in my film days when I was a lot more reluctant to take loads of pictures due to the cost factor. Seems a bit crazy in retrospect as I'm not sure when I'm likely to come across a real-live snake charmer again! I was amazed they actually exist too (even down to the cobra with the distinctive pattern on the hood).
