klimax 0 Posted December 25, 2004 I do like this photo for its strict composition and nice range of tones. If the dog were better positioned this would be a 7/7 for me. As I looked at this image, I somehow decided that I became most interested in the dog: what was it doing, could it smell the garbage, was it cold, and so on. I recall seeing Alex Colville's "Dog in Field and somehow drew a paralell to your image. (Although the images are entirely different.) After having such thoughts I became dissatisfied with the position of the dog: it seems too small, there is no detail in the fur, it is too high in the image, and its head is obscured by the garbage bins. Perhaps you had something else as your purpose fo rthis photo, I don't know. Link to comment
