lgreene 0 Posted September 23, 2004 Absolutely love how the flower bloom stage is closed at bottom and opens at top. Beautiful colors. Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted September 24, 2004 ah, there it is (the allium)! Actually I like these flowers, this is a thrilling picture with unusual viewpoint..7/7 Link to comment
dawzy 0 Posted September 25, 2004 Beutiful - it does take sometime to find the mosquito! Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted September 25, 2004 Thanks for all the comments. I'm glad the mosquito isn't immediately apparent. Just wonder who left the 3/3, a comment might be in order. Link to comment
pdoyle 0 Posted September 28, 2004 One of your best so far. This works well at a detailed level but also on a more abstract level with the nice gradation from predominantly dark at the base to that nice white and light blue tone at the top. Link to comment
paul_saunders1 0 Posted September 28, 2004 luminescent... i love it - dont worry about the 3/3 - there are some poor souls around... Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted October 4, 2004 Time to put this one on the block - officially, that is. Link to comment
gato pardo 0 Posted October 4, 2004 Technically perfect and artistically very creative. The range of colour treatment over this nice allium is quite suggestive and the perspective quite unusual. It is rather a pity that the mosquito is not a very coloured insect so that it could better emerge from the environment but that is not your fault, of course (next time try with a bee,for instance...). A great work, indeed. Congratulations! Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted October 4, 2004 Thanks Guilherme. It's funny you should mention bees because that's what I had set out to capture. They weren't being very cooperative, though. On a large print, this tiny mosquito actually has some very orange markings. Link to comment
toby 1 Posted October 4, 2004 That little mosquito looking bug in the upper right I would think looks out of place but somehow it is good. I really like th gradient of life coming up from the bottom of the picture from dead to alive. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted October 15, 2004 The color progression on this is amazing. Nice work, Aaron! Link to comment

rkimshultz 0 Posted October 30, 2004 I am rating this individual image a 7/7, however, your entire portfolio is outstanding. Also, thanks for taking the time to review one of my image (Obvious Orange). I appreciate it very much. Kim Link to comment
lucyhollis 2 Posted October 30, 2005 beautiful colour. The only problem for me is the flowers seem to be begging me to allow them centre stage, yet they aren't in focus. Link to comment
