One of your best so far. This works well at a detailed level but also on a more abstract level with the nice gradation from predominantly dark at the base to that nice white and light blue tone at the top.

Technically perfect and artistically very creative. The range of colour treatment over this nice allium is quite suggestive and the perspective quite unusual. It is rather a pity that the mosquito is not a very coloured insect so that it could better emerge from the environment but that is not your fault, of course (next time try with a bee,for instance...). A great work, indeed. Congratulations!

Thanks Guilherme. It's funny you should mention bees because that's what I had set out to capture. They weren't being very cooperative, though. On a large print, this tiny mosquito actually has some very orange markings.

That little mosquito looking bug in the upper right I would think looks out of place but somehow it is good.

 

I really like th gradient of life coming up from the bottom of the picture from dead to alive.
