Beautiful! I love the color of the sky and the contrast between new and old buildings and the light and dark gravel surrounding the tracks. It creates a photo that's not only pleasing to the eye but interesting to the mind.

Me, I'm sick of summer. I wish we had more "gloomy" days in Southern California.

You have taken a very unsitely area of the city and turned it into a lovely piece of art. The colors and perspective make the image for me. Get out and shoot some bw in this city of textures.

This photograph has a lot going for it. I like the way the color is rendered and the feeling it evokes. The red building in the left middle-ground is a bonus. To me the photo looks like it needs to be rotated clockwise just a bit to bring the buildings to vertical. The painted sign on the brick building is another big plus as is the advertising sign next to it. Summer may be over but that is no reason not to enjoy the other seasons. This would be very impressive as a large print. I like this photograph very much for its great rendering of geometry which transcends the matter of fact appearance of the buildings and tracks that were constructed purely for function with little thought to beauty.

I agree with the consensus.. Great mood, colours and composition. I thought I knew Toronto pretty well, but I don't recognise this area? West end looking west? Anyway, nice shot!

This is just north of the GO train station at Bloor and Dundas West - you can (barely!) see the station platforms in the distance. The CN tower, like in most snaphots of the Toronto, makes its appearance on the far left. Cheers.

Most excellent, this really does rock in a very hard core manner. I like pretty much everything about this: the colours, the textures, and the composition. I live in L.A. now, so vistas like this are rare; but you've done a great job of reminding me of one of the reasons I often enjoyed living up north (Chicago). I think this may have actually gotten me interested in investigating grad. ND filters, too, something I have never tried before....
