jmoody 0 Posted September 22, 2004 I don't know if you just happened upon this scene, or if you set up and waited for just the right moment, but either way... what a shot! Gorgeous lines, powerful sky, great colors. Very nice!! (scratch that. I just looked through the rest of your work, and this was obviously well thought out and planned. You do some excellent landscape work! Keep on posting!) Link to comment

guy_mansford 0 Posted September 22, 2004 Once again you've taken a good scene and spoilt it with a poorly stuck on sky. A small problem is the rather clumsy join between sky and horizon. A larger problem is that the sky is out of proportion to the scene. Quite often your shots are superficially attractive, but when you look closer they aren't as good as the parts that make them. You do take good landscapes though, so I'd personally prefer rather straighter shots and less use of the Photoshop. Link to comment

alan kolnik 0 Posted September 28, 2004 Kevin, you're taking great pictures of the fields, but in some cases, like this, it seems to me you're pasting in skies to dramatize the picture that detract from the impact your picture would otherwise make. I may be wrong about that, and I have no objection if its well done (I occasionally do the same, well or not), but the shadows in the fields suggest a much more gentle sky above, so there is a mismatch between sky and earth. I think you should tone down the blue, in any event, though perhaps this is, in fact, really the effect you want to achieve. Link to comment
