Alec, I've two general comments on this series of portraits. The first, is that with time I see you are doing better and better in having her at her ease with the camera...I'm pretty bad at this and I see your progresses which have to be commended.

The second is that, sometimes, you've far too much background into the shot, like here, which is too much in focus and tends to confuse with the overall appearence of the subject. As an example the right hand side tree which distract the eye. I guess a portrait lens -aka something which opens a lot and nicely blurs the back- should solve much of this, but I would also suggest you think of the background when composing, in the same way you compose so nicely your landscapes... best wishes, s.

Alec, I think the colors are good; I would still put on your 50mm fast lens, no filter, to get better skin tone and simpler background.

Many thanks Francesco, Dusan and Salvatore for your valuable advise. Having shot a lot of images I know there are some with shallow DOF but unfortunately the nice looking features here has sharper background. Well, I'm trying and surely you will find better images coming soon. Again, thanks Ray for your kind advise.
