Heavy-handed use of filters here -- from the position of the sun and the complete lack of red/gold coloring below the top portion of the frame, it seems apparent that you used some type of graduated filter. Could have been done in a less obvious fashion.

i dont quite get what christian means by "heavy handed use of filters". As long as the pix is visually appealing who cares about minor technicalities. Is it necessary that sky colors should be evenly distributed ? Photography is all about appeal, innovation, originality and drama, and no matter how u get it , if a photo has it all, its a good one.

Perhaps I should be more clear: the use of the filter is so obvious that I find it distracting and therefore the photo is less appealing to me. It would have been more appealing to me if the entire scene was filtered, or not at all, than to have this half-filtered, half-natural sky.

True... what Christian says... it makes it look less natural.. but again... if one wanted to create an not really natural image but enahnce it to ones liking it is fine..
