anna yu 0 Posted September 22, 2004 Great low angle of light, makes the children seem smaller. A happy picture. Link to comment

sarah_keppler 0 Posted September 29, 2004 Nice use of light, just wish the children weren't so blurry. Link to comment
george ewald 0 Posted September 29, 2004 Thanks for your comments. Yes, the blur. It was very low light, and I had to choose between sacrificing speed or depth of field. You have to make choices. I was pleased that the children did not let my presence interrupt their conversation, and their movements. Link to comment
dom168 0 Posted August 12, 2006 I love this picture of childhood, and I don't think the blur detracts; rather, it illustrates the perpetual motion of children. Even when they're sitting down, they're not sitting still. I like the gradation of shadow to light from right to left, darker-haired child to blonde one. Link to comment
george ewald 0 Posted August 17, 2006 Thanks Leslie. Most children are in perpetual motion. And it's fun to be around that kind of energy. I had hoped the blur would be a reminder of that. The children were talking so sweetly, and ignoring my presence. What was I going to do. Ask them to hold still for a moment? I like the image of the elephant ears. This year I started one of those plants in a pot, and the best it can do is three ears. Is that the max in the wild? Link to comment
