bekster 0 Posted September 21, 2004 I like the waterline on this guy! He doesn't get out much... Great detail and very nice shot! Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted September 21, 2004 Thanks Becky. She (he) just got out of the water and is covered with duckweed. I suspect it's a female going back to the marsh to check on her nest. She caught me offguard. I was only about 15 feet away and on foot. Fortunately, she turned in the opposite direction from me. Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted September 23, 2004 The alligator crossed the road to eat the tourists on the other side! You were lucky she didn't have a taste for photographers that day! :) Nice lighting and good capture. I probably would have been shaking with excitement and gotten only blurred shots. Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted September 23, 2004 Kim, the answer to the riddle is "to show the armadillo how to do it". When I first saw her I actually jumped up on a park bench which was nearby. I had never seen one move so quickly on land before. But then I became a bit gutsy when I saw her head out in the other direction. Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted November 27, 2004 A little more free space on the left to show where the fella is going, would have given the comp. more dynamics. Crop is too tight, or a wider lens preferred. The fella crossed the road to eat the digi camera which she knew would make the colors plasticky and unnatural. Link to comment
