I like both for different reasons ......... this one for the colors -- the other for the mood. I stole a copy of this to play with - will be back shortly.

Just kidding ........ darkened the shadows using levels - maybe not better - probably not better ......... sol.

Also, I am pondering the 2 books you chose - not just 2 books off the shelf I'm sure .......... Steinbeck noted for his book - 'Of Mice and Ken' and the other with the Statue of Liberty ........ Hmmmm

Ha ha ... the Phil Colins version ... so did my first versions look too... really scaring ... and for your second version I think you are right

And the books .. yes you noticed them too Ken..( nothing gets passed you .. methinks)... are special books for me. Funny you are mentioning "Mice and (K)Men" which was the first book of John Steinbeck I read .... but the book here is "East of Eden" ... I have been reading it many times and I can still find new facetts in it ... Love that book... and the other book is Leviathan written by Paul Auster. It's about a disillusioned man travelling all around in the states blowing up all the statues of Liberty he can find on his way.... just a mysterious and worth reading book.

I'm not used to do stills but I'll give it a try for some time .... or perhaps I maybe just should turn around from where i shot this and shoot som of the original mess in the barn .... thats real scary.

Bente, I don't mind your color version, although much prefer the sepia. I like the slightly lower contrast you have used with this color version that again gives it an aged look and kind of imparts the same feel as the other one. Tell Ken to quit messing with a good thing!! :)

Bente, I prefer the sepia version too, although both are very good. I agree with Kim that a lower saturation level is more effective in this version.

I love collections of interesting things. This is particularly nice. Like Ken, I have my own ideas. I see it a bit softer and more saturated. Nothing like natural light! Hope you don't mind!

Jayme ... you are always welcome to work with my photos. I'm more than honored that this picture makes you and others want to show me different ways to handle it.

...And I think it is a very interesting version you have made. Thanks for that Jayme.

Marc, Donna and Someone E. ... thanks for stopping by and commenting here.

Poor and rich? ... Well, there is nothing rich here ... only a poor try of a still with poor things and a poor wall ... it's all really poor (-;

Kim ... thanks for your comment too ... always so sober. I myself can't deside which one I like best .. color or sepia ... they are giving different meanings to me and I think the colors are a little special in a good way.

About Ken messing ... who can stop him? ... and who wants to stop him messing? ... at least not me ... and I guess you agree with me Kim but thanks anyway for your concerning ( I know what you mean)
