Nice texture revealed....

The detail is super and I like the subject matter, but there is either too much or not enough info in the subjects composition. IMHO I think I'd like to see the 2 small leaves and the large round one below them in their entirity. Maybe angling them from top left to bottom right. Just a thought.

Actually, I considered the idea. Then I thought that the black negative space forced the eye into the frame so I left it as is. There were some blurred leaves that I burned to black.

Howard, these are the hairiest leaves I've ever seen. ^_^ Nicely done for its genre. Here's no more black background...

Thanks Wilson. Goofy me. That's about what the original looked like before I decided to burn out the leaf and make it black. Daaaa!
