f1-fanatic 0 Posted September 14, 2004 This was my first attempt at shooting flowers. The pond where this was taken had a lot of Giant Koi and a footbridge which linked the cottages where we were staying to the spa and dining room of the resort.. I saw these rangign in colors from white to yellow and even pink and thought to capture a few. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted September 17, 2004 The colors and exposure give this image its impact. The composition is quite good that you placed the two blossoms in complementary position and the green pads create depth of movement. Two things: I would have liked the the the camera position just a bit higher (for the yellow organs). Also, and more important, the green pad at top left draws the eye, and the image looks better to me when that is cropped out ... Link to comment
