As for the photo, I love the details in both the petals (no burned out highlight,) leaves, and stem. The background is fittingly solem. Dark and sad, yet a bit of water movement that represents hope. I wonder if cropping off the right and making it a square frame would make an even stronger composition? Very nice nevertheless.

I like this, Howard! The background with the watery texture is wonderful. I could use a tad bit more detail in the flower petals, they seem blown out. Great crop, though!!

Since Wilson made it here before me again, LOL, I agree totally with his assessment. Lou Ann- I thought the same until I looked at the image in Large, and there are all the details I was looking for. The water remids me of smoke and I hope I never see that much smoke ever again!
