This little Breton village hasn't more inhabitants but is open to the

public which can visit there some thatched cottages as they where

still conceived and furnished in the beginning of the XXth century in

all Britanny. The guides are dressed in the Breton fashion of the

time (see the farmer in the centre of the photo) and you can attend

some demonstrations representing the various daily activities in a

little Breton village from before the modern times. This is perfect

for the rainy days as it was the case when I took this photo.

"Painterly" is the perfect word for this image and an effect I'm often striving to achieve. Great use of lighting in that the overcast day avoids looking gloomy.

Very pleasant, Henri. I like the mood. Perhaps a bit more PS work where the trees meet the sky? I also like the wide, panoramic proportion.

Very painterly. It gives me the cozy and homely feeling of nice warm farm-house.

Excellent and suitable colors, too.

Thanks for all your comments. I have to clarify about the painting look. There is absolutely no painting effect with PS on this shot. I think this is the subject himself which gives this appearance.
