afterthoughts 0 Posted September 8, 2004 The shadow is for Wilson. The full view is for my Photo.Net friends. Link to comment
frank_theriault 0 Posted September 8, 2004 I really like the image of the little girl, I love her body language. I'm less enthused about removing her from her environment - she has no context. I'm sure some like the effect, unfortunately, I can't say I do. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted September 8, 2004 I like both this and the previous shot of the same girl. Looks great!! Link to comment
r_e 0 Posted September 8, 2004 for me there is no need of a ball or something else. What the pictures make outstanding is the fact that they "generalize", that you exempt the gesture from this special person. RE Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted September 8, 2004 ...yes, she was looking for me! Howard, thanks for the dedication. I agree that this particular version does not need a ball or an environment to put things in context as the complete body and her gesture are more than enough to carry the image. However, I think that it will be very cool if you were to add more empty space to the right and make this a horizontal format (I kid you not.) The shadow does give a 3 dimensional effect, IMHO. Highkey Howard strikes again! ^_^ Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted September 9, 2004 I totally agree with Wilson. He took the words right out of my mouth! The shadow adds such depth and adds to the implied motion of her form. See what you think of a horizonal crop. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted September 9, 2004 She should be on the right so that she is walking into the frame verses walking out of the frame. Thanks for the time. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted September 9, 2004 Hi Wilson, you must be real happy, not every day you get such a nice little girl's image as a "present".....Very nice of you Howard.Pnina Link to comment
cristina_fumi 0 Posted September 9, 2004 Howard I am impressed how many people you catch! Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted September 9, 2004 Yes, Pnina, not everyday...^_^ Howard, as for the location of empty space, you certainly can try both and compare. But I think Jayme & I suggested so because her head was looking right. Anyway, the overall look is still a winner! Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted September 9, 2004 Cool shot! Agree with Jayme and Wilson about more space. You are the high key master. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted September 10, 2004 At first, I thought the space should be on the left too, but after adding it both ways, I have to agree with Wilson about the left addition. It kicks it up a notch and makes it a little more interesting to the eyes. It's an eye catcher either way. Link to comment
