pimgeertsfotografie 0 Posted September 7, 2004 Dear Paul Another eye-catching photograph.Amazing texture in the skin!I also like the lichting of it, nice contrast!Although I think it would've even been better if you had cropped the left side a bit more. (through the middle of the hair-section I'd suggest). Thanks for showing it.Good luck!gr. Pim Link to comment
r 0 Posted September 7, 2004 Wow, what an impact. Hard, sharp, contrasty and very "in your face". The totally neutral expression makes for an interestingly mysterious effect. I was going to draw attention to the unfocused nose but I realised that if it were as sharp as the lips and eye it would probably upset the balance in the composition, making it more of a half face and less of a brilliant portrait. Well done! Link to comment

terrybutler 0 Posted September 10, 2004 The cold expression, composition and wonderful tones make it a fine portrait. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted December 11, 2004 i wonder what is the final usage of this portrait? a cd cover, book .. or just a test? Well, yeah its sharp and all, but i'm not sure there is a need to show such a detail level on such a close up portrait. Link to comment
kjartan haavik 0 Posted December 12, 2004 The "need" is not really important.. you like it or you dont ... this is a great shot.... there are no rules in photography that dont deserve to be broken, this shot is original and awesome to my eyes. Link to comment
