Although I think it would've even been better if you had cropped the left side a bit more. (through the middle of the hair-section I'd suggest).

Wow, what an impact. Hard, sharp, contrasty and very "in your face". The totally neutral expression makes for an interestingly mysterious effect. I was going to draw attention to the unfocused nose but I realised that if it were as sharp as the lips and eye it would probably upset the balance in the composition, making it more of a half face and less of a brilliant portrait. Well done!

Absolutely fabulous. Perfect in my eyes. Sharpness, composiiton, expression, model. WOW.

i wonder what is the final usage of this portrait? a cd cover, book .. or just a test? Well, yeah its sharp and all, but i'm not sure there is a need to show such a detail level on such a close up portrait.

The "need" is not really important.. you like it or you dont ... this is a great shot.... there are no rules in photography that dont deserve to be broken, this shot is original and awesome to my eyes.

Very good tonning techniques. Picture has great details but a bit tide frame in my personal idea.
