evan_noble 0 Posted September 7, 2004 It seems like there is too much emphasis on her thigh. Link to comment
rochelle_ballard 0 Posted September 8, 2004 I think the lighting is alright. The background impresses me a lot; I do like the 'gradation' of colours. It works very well with what is supposed to be quite an oridnary pose of the model. Cheers for now. Link to comment
extreme_images_2004 0 Posted September 9, 2004 "cross lit to simulate street light" The problem is that if you didn't say what you were trying to accomplish than it would have looked like you stuck a flash to the side and fired away. It doesn't really look quite like a street light as they tend to be higher up in the sky and would light more of the top of her head rather than her thigh. Now with the background sky, I wasn't there to see exactly what it looked like but I would say that you underexposed it quite a bit. If I were to take a shot like this I would meter the sky's ambient to get better color, dial down my 550 to get a better flash deration(is your 550 on full power here? are you still shooting E-ttl? or PWs?)and put it on a stand that will light up her face rather than her leg. There is a really good site by a really good photographer named Dave Black. He has tutorials on different lighting situations and other things... here is the link to one of them where he creates images that have the same style as these http://www.daveblackphotography.com/workshop/0408.htm Link to comment
