mark_smith12 0 Posted May 28, 2002 Just looking at your pictures makes me feel hot and thirsty. Once again, nicely done. Nice contrasts and a scaly texture taht makes it hard to decide the scale. Thic could be huge or it could be a macro and the eye wants to see it both ways. Intriguing. I think that some parts of the frame are too bright. I would dodge that very bright patch at the intersection of the left and upper "third" lines. I might also dodge the bright patch at the lower left. Other than that, I can't think of anything to do. Nice choice of mat. The black nicely brings out the cracks. Link to comment
will_wilson 0 Posted June 7, 2002 I usually enjoy the harsh contrast you aspire to in your work, but here, I think this shot could benefit from a broader tonal scale. I want to feel the texture of the mud that is now blownout. The abrupt contrast doesn't add to the image. I think the composition is strong enough to allow for the photo to work with less contrast and more texture. The composition is very well visualized and has alot of stregth from edge to edge.
