jorge 0 Posted September 4, 2004 "Organilleros" (crank organ players) are a throwback to the turn of the XIX century and a species in extinction process. Most of the organs are of European origin (Italian, German, Austrian), nearing 100 years of age and are painstakingly maintained and repaired by technicians that make spare parts by hand. I found this guy in downtown Mexico city and after paying for a song I grabbed a couple of frames. Please comment and rate. If you leave an underaverage rating, please take the time to explain what is it that leads you to it. Thanks for looking. Link to comment
andresborbon 0 Posted September 5, 2004 Excelent photo, Jorge. Better than mine. Like the absent expression of the man and the crop (it is cropped?). I am working on my shy-attitude and soon will post some street photos with the Bessa-R. Thanks for your interest. Link to comment
jorge 0 Posted September 6, 2004 Andres, it's virtually not cropped; maybe 10% on the sides. The lens was a 50mm. Link to comment
