aepelbacher 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Oh, Kim ... this little guy seems to provide an endless source of wonderful images. This is great!! What ... a playground or something? I love the tones that you've used here. His expression is wonderful, too. Did he not know that you were there? Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted September 3, 2004 This was a park with lots of different things to play on. They had a wooden train and Sean loves the train. He was watching some other kids, an endless source of fascination for him, so I was able to capture some moments when he was totally unaware of the camera. I think Sean is very photogenic - he has light blue eyes that turn out well in quadtones. I was torn on this shot - it was very colorful, so it was hard not to keep the color, but I wanted that "old world" look to this, too. Plus the color would probably compete with Sean. I'll attach the color version so you can compare. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted September 3, 2004 Sepia toning makes this image magical and more enduring. Well done. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted September 3, 2004 Thanks, Howard - I do prefer the sepia look more than the color version. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted September 3, 2004 Wonderful! I like the sephia tones best. Which is unusual for me, I usually like color. But, I agree, the colors are competing with Sean. He's much too cute to be in competition with anything! Love the Hat! As usual! Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted September 4, 2004 See original image - do you think sepia works well for this image or color is better? Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted September 4, 2004 Yes - even a confirmed colour fan like me prefers the sepia here. I think the red is a bit overwhelming. Nice capture! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted September 4, 2004 Thanks, Colin. I've become a big fan of sepia (or quadtones) for portraits. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted September 4, 2004 I'll join the group who thinks that the sepia works much better than the color. What a cutie-pie!! :-) Link to comment
