MichaelChang 12 Posted September 2, 2004 Oh Ken.. :-) Yes, Linda, the maples are starting to turn colors here. I was at a scene like this just last month when it was hot and muggy.. how time flies. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Nice shot. I like those colours of twilight. The empty chairs give a good feeling of nostalgia. Would you take a look on my own seascapes photos ? Thank you for your visit. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 2, 2004 Very nice, Linda. It looks like it might be a bit over-saturated, but the effect is still very nice. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted September 2, 2004 At the end of the day, the three brothers left their chairs and went back to the lodge to dress for dinner. Little did they know... Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes for aesthetics. BTW: Not happy with the thinkness of the boarder. It over powers the photograph. Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted September 2, 2004 New Hampshire, a moment in time for you, a chance to be with you family, in a time that was precious...so glad you took the time to find this image of tranquility... Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Ken...I miss Els, too. Howard...thank you for your observation. I originally had used a different frame. I'll work on it tonight and upload it... Michael...thanks for stopping by. Henri...I will stop by to see. Lannie...the saturation is only slightly enhanced to match the original scene. John...thanks. Glad you like it. Roger...the full moon that night came up over these same mountains. Just magic! I love this time of year...still beautiful but with the chaos of summer at an end. Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted September 2, 2004 "time flies"? you can't, they're too fast! Wonderful shot! Great sharpness of the chairs, beautiful colors in the sunset, a unique composition (for me anyway). What more could you ask for? (except to be sitting out there with a bottle of wine, some good friends, and a camera, of course :-) Link to comment
nher 0 Posted September 2, 2004 I would not mind to relax in one of these chairs for a while. Nice shot. Regards. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted September 2, 2004 RE....most of the time, I am in the perfect place. Wherever. Wilson...thank you. JF...gracias! Jeff...you are right of course. A merlot would've been nice... Angel...I would've loved to have you sitting on one in those chairs. What better addition than an angel in my picture? Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted September 2, 2004 This is one beautiful photo...Great work. And those chairs... Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted September 3, 2004 I always felt a sadness at the end of summer in Canada. This reminds me of the ending of a special time - kids out of school, camping with friends, relaxing, and trying not to think it would soon be over. Of course, now I'm in S Texas, so there really aren't any seasons, except Hot, Damn Hot, Stifling Hot, and Bearable (the shortest season). I like the reflections and the colors in this one. Guest Guest Posted September 3, 2004 Linda- smooth is the first thought. your placement of the chairs is perfect. smaller frame. size does matter ;) Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted September 3, 2004 Knicki and Howard...although framing and cropping are personal choices, I agree with you that the heavy black was overpowering. I've reframed, and I do like it better. Kim...yes, this time of year can be very bittersweet. For once, though, I'm looking forward to the cooler days ahead ;-) Sarita...thanks. Not easy to get a landscape I like. (the chairs help) Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted September 3, 2004 Yes...cool nights...the glow of the fire on our face's, Maples turning, smell of leaves burning, and hot cider with popcorn... Link to comment
roberto p 0 Posted September 3, 2004 The comnposition is fantastic. Colors looks a little too saturated for my taste. A nice overall shot anyway. Congrats! Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted September 3, 2004 Boarder better or frame better. Now the image really POPS off the screen. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted September 3, 2004 What wonderful colors and composition. Peaceful, a place for the body, mind and soul to rejuvenate. And luckily there are 3 chairs! Nice job! Link to comment
sunapeephoto 0 Posted September 3, 2004 Good color and composition and it must be the end of the season because you can get a shot without boats in it. Nice job. If you enjoy NH sunsets visit my "Sunsets its a sickness folder" all were shot in NH. Thanks for sharing this. I am jealous it is not one of mine. Link to comment
