mplonsky 0 Posted August 31, 2004 I find this behavior facinating. No, they don't chew gum, they need to regurgitate in order to digest food. I hope I have not ruined your appetite. Link to comment

benjamin_howell1 0 Posted September 1, 2004 I say macros because I have checked out your photonet portfolio and like this picture here it is AWE INSPIRING. How do you get this kind of sharpness and depth of field? Awesome stuff... Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted September 2, 2004 The colors make this one especially appealing, even with the subject matter! :) You have inspired me and I even have a spider picture posted, but don't expect any competition from me. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Awesome image, Mark. Just wish I didn't read the food intake detail! The colors, sharpness, and composition all work well together. Great capture. Link to comment

mg 0 Posted September 3, 2004 Mark, I'll be short: I think this is the most impressive photo you ever posted to PNet. Perfect as far as I can tell, and extremely original to me due to convergence of 1) the vivid yellow background, 2) the apple (?) 3) the angle and the slant, AND 4) the bubble ! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 6, 2004 perfect timing... just Dof seems a bit narrow... but this remark is from somebody who never took any insect macro so far !!! Link to comment
lucyhollis 2 Posted May 15, 2008 Great photo. works so well in part I think because of the repeition in colour between the fly's eyes and the apple, and the colour of the background and the colour reflected in the infocus droplet - these make good links between the fly, the apple and the background.
