dionysmoser 0 Posted August 30, 2004 It is an Iceberg in Greenland. The sun is shinning to the backside. So the blue looks very strong through. Any critiques welcome! Dionys Link to comment
codepic 0 Posted August 31, 2004 Youwere lucky to be in such a spot to capture the light through the ice. There are so many things that can go wrong and you managed to avoid all of them. Generally, when you capture something, you should be asking yourself WHAT made you take the photo. For me it looks like it was the blue color, especially in the light coming through the ice that made you take this shot. Now, to express what you captured, I think you should consider concentrating on it. And solely on it. So leaving out the unnecessary and by cropping, concentrating on the subject, I think you can get what you really wanted. I took a privilege to edit your photo a bit. I also added a frame on the photo as such a delicate thing as the light glooming through the ice, needs some protection from the brightness of the background on these web pages. I also added a streak of blue to hold things together... I hope you don't mind :) P.S. This is only one way of doing it. Hope to see more variations of this as this photo might be presented in many ways. Link to comment
dmozzherin 0 Posted August 31, 2004 This is an amazing photo!! I see the value in both your version and the version of Jani. They both are very beautiful in their own way. Link to comment
