Well, it's novel, but I'm not sure that it's going to be well-received, since most of us don't want anybody messing around with Lady Liberty--especially with the towers in the background as a rather grim reminder.

Lannie, I am a bit surprised by your take on this image. I did not mean to disrespect anybody or anything, or offend anytbody.

This photo is great! I totally disagree with the previous responce! I think it shows the power is this symbol, and what respect it deserves. very very creative, and well done.

Strongly disagree with LANNIE KELLY. This great statue is the symbol of liberty. And this image shows that. MEHMET OZGUR, thanks, you have done a great work.

But I have to disagree with the comment that we don't want people messing with Lady Liberty or that the towers are a "grim reminder". The towers existed in the past. Their existence here may be a reminder, but not grim. Had the photo been of the towers on fire or the rubble and smoke of the aftermath, that would be a "grim" reminder.

As for the picture (rather than the comments about it). I don't think the title is fitting since the clouds aren't really storm clouds. It's a neat concept, but it doesn't carry the impact the title would suggest. Additionally, when I first saw the image I thought the statue could be creating the clouds rather than absorbing them.

Yes, lack of storm clouds does not justify the title, yet, I rarely name my pictures based on the elements contained within.

Freedom is perhaps the biggest source and cause of major social storms. We strive to be free. We die and kill for freedom. We war for peace. We enslave to be free. Contradictions have never left our hearts and minds.

Very well done. Enjoy the emotions it envokes. It is kind of creepy to use a shot with the towers still standing, but I admire the shot nonetheless. Quite creative. Keep it up. Eric
