johncrosley 0 Posted January 5, 2005 If I had to point to one photo that is emblematic of a 'sharp eye' in this folder, and one of several in this portfolio, this is that one. I think this photo is entirely 'original'. To the person who posted in a forum that all the photos had been taken before, I am interested if this image has been taken before, and would welcome any image e-mail attachments sent to my attention (e-mail only, please, especially because any such photos likely are to have been published before, and so probably might be eliminated from Photo.net or if a 'link' is posted, it might be 'broken' if the original photo web source is taken down, etc., and I want a permanent record -- if there is one to be had). johncrosley 0 Posted February 28, 2005 These Circular Fruit and Bags and Pointed Shoes are the 'Circles and Arrows' which comprise the title of this photo, taken in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine at a street market. Your ratings and critiques are invited and most welcome; I'm interested in what you think of this unusual photo, already posted for a couple of months in a folder comprised of photos for which almost no critiques have ever been sought. (If you rate harshly or very negatively, please submit a helpful and constructive comment/Please share your superior knowledge). Thanks! Enjoy! John. Link to comment
emilia gheorghe 0 Posted March 1, 2005 I find this photo rather interesting. The roundness of the fruit in contrast with the pointed shoes is pretty obvious and make the picture quite hilarious. You did prove to have a sharp eye! Link to comment
johncrosley 0 Posted March 3, 2005 I almost always smile when I see this particular photograph. It brings some small joy to my heart that I could 'catch' the moment and 'see' what I think few could see. Sometimes, as a photographer you get 'hot' and this afternoon I was 'hot'. I had an 18-year-old companion with me, who looked 14, but was truly bright, and she was just there for the joy of the company -- nothing more and the fun of sharing. We had a wonderful time that day -- never to communicate again. Although she looked like a little girl, she had a giant intellect, and completely understood all the photography I was doing and helped immensely in 'seeing'. John Link to comment
