ljk 0 Posted August 29, 2004 I deliberately wanted to give this a soft impressionistic feel.... Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted August 29, 2004 You definitely have a soft feel here! Compositionally, I like the line that the boat creates and that it creates a small amount of tension with the lines created by the stream. Nice!! Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted August 29, 2004 I like, I like. I bet there are snakes in there. Great composiiton. Softness works for me. Link to comment

Landrum Kelly 65 Posted August 30, 2004 This is VERY nice, Linda. I love salt marshes. It's interesting that the salt marshes up there have a slightly different look from those down here in the Southeast. I guess it's the plants in the background, since the grass in the foreground looks the same. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted August 30, 2004 Thanks everyone for stopping by. I liked this picture when I took it, but even more so when I "tweaked" it ever so slightly. I'm glad you think it is effective.... Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted August 30, 2004 You are such a good student, tweaking is your latest in a series of triumphs ! Well done, a classic in all, would love to walk into this picture.... Link to comment
johnorban 0 Posted August 30, 2004 A hot and hazy summer day. The softness works very well and adds to the "summer day" feel. A compositional triumph. Good going! Link to comment

kyang 0 Posted August 30, 2004 Softness work good here. And the composition is very nice. A little better of lighting could make a super one. Impressive work, Linda. Link to comment

marcelosoriarodriguez 0 Posted August 31, 2004 Nice photo, it has a very nice relaxing feeling. IMHO, it would be interesting to see a more closed composition, leaving the sky out, and perhaps even leaving the mountains out as well. I think that would give some more strength to the composition, while retaining the relaxing feeling. Best regards, marcelo Link to comment

chuck_kirchner 0 Posted September 11, 2004 I agree with Sarah's comment - classic. You moved the boat into the perfect position, trimmed an acre of two of grasslands just right, stilled the water, touched up the paint on the canoe to hide the blemishes. And then waited for the light to cast subtle tones. You work SO HARD for a lazy day photo! Link to comment
