A look at the fantastic Horseshoe Bend. Had to walk 2 miles up and

down high slopes to reach this point in hot weather. But it's worth

it!

The colours and the texture are really good. I like the palette sky-rock-river-shirt... I cannot help asking myself, though, why you did not step a bit back and got all of the shadow... why?

Cheers, s.

p.s. Isn't it great when a picture reminds you of the sweat and the effort?

Thanks everyone. Salvatore, I actually have all the shadow in my frame but have to crop it for an A4 size print. I then sent this directly into PN but I'll try to send the original with the shadow soon. That's for the reminder.

-M-B. I still think it is 2 miles walk to the view. Remember we have to park at 10,000 ft above sea level and walk up and down high slopes. The attitude really make us gasp even more!

Alec you're really making me wish I had taken the trip regardless of my exams and work (and putting up with all the security matters at the airports!). i'm glad you got the D70 before you left, its in the right hands!

Thanks for the kind works everyone. Philip, yes the scale is magnificent and scary. Didn't dare to go too near as the wind was blowing hard and Carlos - there's actually no barrier. I don't think you'll find truckloads of tourists here. The walk will kill them! (",)

Notice the surf stream on the river? It's actually a Grand Bank luxury 44 ft yacht but just a small dot on this image!

Bilal, another time perhaps after your exams?

Great scene and I love the way how you put a human in it. The water and the sky is nice too.

Nice work Alec. I'm a bit torn, part of me likes that your have included the person and another part of wishes you hadn't. Nevertheless the scenery is great.

Thanks everyone, well Amar, I can satisfy you there. I have many others without people, even a panorama shot which I have yet to process. WIll submit when workload is less.

Alec, you always know how to put the right people with right colors in your landscape. It's a talent. :D

Alec, I love this shot. The person in the photo enhances the perspective and gives me some ideas - thank you. You've done it again, as this part of the river has been shot hundreds of times, yet yours is original. Very good work.

He looks alone at the top of the world! LOL. Very nice perspective, such detail all the way to the river below. Nice.
