michael ezra 0 Posted June 21, 2001 This photograph was created in inspiration from the works of Mickelangelo Buonarrotti... I would appreciate your comments. Thank you, Michael Ezra Link to comment

kevin_kolosky 2 Posted June 22, 2001 It is wonderful. May I suggest a couple of things. when you shoot models like this, try and keep them about 6 feet or more from the background and you will have better luck with the shadows. Also, when you are shooting, nitpick a little bit. Smooth out the hair before each shot. Police the area. Otherwise very very nice and very classic. Kevin Link to comment
mark jones 0 Posted June 22, 2001 I would have to agree with kevin. Very nice work just need a few things done. Kevin told me about the 6' rule before and it does seem to work better. I would have not thought of checking her hair before I shot the photo either but I will on my next shoot. On thing I might say is if your shooting skinny models like this one you can get away with this pose if the model has a few extra pounds in the mid section use other poses. Looking good thanks for sharing! Link to comment
kramer 0 Posted June 24, 2001 I like the way your background is darker than the floor area showing you were thinking about your lighting. I agree with the others about the shadow from the model and moving her away from the wall would help. Very nice shot and composition, and the nice looking naked female woman helps. Link to comment
james___ 0 Posted June 24, 2001 This is very harsh light by the shadows on her leg and under her beautiful tush. Very beautiful model. The pose is a little hard and awkward though for such a beautiful model. I hope you took advantage of her. Large soft lighting would have. Beautiful brests to go along with those gorgeous eyes. chris_battey 0 Posted July 13, 2001 Are we commenting on the Photography here, or the fact that the model has nice tits? Personally I think the shot is unflattering, was she happy with it? Her foot, extended, is to me distracting, and looks as though it has been trapped in a vice. Whilst hair is tricky to gauge, I don't think always cleaning up her hair is the answer. The 'just out of bed' look is often the most appealing, again it depends on the Photographer. Sorry, but this isn't a 'Yes' picture for me. Ignoring the background, I would say that the girl isn't entirely comfortable with her position. You can improve the face by turning her 3/4 toward the camera and allowing her to lower her chin slightly, this will will reduce the percieved gap between her top lip and the centre division of her nose. Reducing this gap, not only in stills but also with surgery, presents a more beautiful face (at least within the realm of our Popular, read 'fame', culture). If you're looking for true beauty as opposed to the manufactured 'apparent' beauty that we are all fed a t the newsstands, then I apologise...just try again. Link to comment
k_townsend 0 Posted November 7, 2001 Sorry to see you're subject to the usual inanities on photo.net with the ratings. I noticed the same thing with a playful self-portrait I posted ... I really loved the image, and still laugh and smile to see it, but, the same 1/1, 2/2 rating by one or two people as a pedantic reaction. I find the foot distracting, or too unnatural, but the gaze and torso are intriguing ... good texture once more. Link to comment
dant 0 Posted March 5, 2002 Just a little different opinion: I don't think this photo must be looked at as a classical nude image. I find it quite striking. The pose and the lighting do not display yet another fine art nude. The pose is dramatic, it tells something. And it happens that a beautiful woman is there to show it. Therefore I don't even care the shadows, they are part of the plot (but I admit that would be better without them). Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 15, 2002 I took a circuitous route to this site...you're in an elite group. While my own photography of the female form is in it's embrionic stages I look forward to the journey and continue to open my mind to the possibilities as I study sites like yours. If photos were "phood", your site is delicious. Thanks. Feel free to visit my site with any constructive critique ( I need a lot of work in lighting/shading ). Link to comment
voets 0 Posted June 18, 2003 I think this is a good shot, certainly worth more than the 1's,2's and 3's some raters are handing out. I had a look at their portfolio's and if they value this photo a 2 than their stuff drops far below zero. Nice work! Link to comment
alina 0 Posted July 29, 2003 I can't believe that this photo has such bad ratings! I like it a lot. Even the centered subject I like here! Excellent position of the model, toning and light! The only shadow I find distracting is the one from her back. Regards. Link to comment
amizial 0 Posted March 17, 2004 The tension around the hips detracts from an, otherwise, great shot! Link to comment
vasilis 0 Posted October 22, 2004 From your nudes I like this one more. I do not think it is made to please the male eye it is a bit harsh and this is the main that I like it also. It is not made to flatter the female body and that makes it more real in a human way. I have never rated another picture in your portfolio (if I remember correctly) and this one goes as 7/7 Link to comment
