Excellent light and interesting subject. I've just a curiosity: since stairs are prominently vertical objects, why did you eventually chose the horizontal format?

Thanks for the comments. I think stairs can be interpreted in different ways. Here I have seen two different flows/contrasts with steps and their shade and the upper fascia with its small shade meeting at the upper third. I just tried the thirds to emphasise this, knowing that the stone courses/joints with their tiny shades should help in contributing to this composition.
