You are a genious! If I remember properly the definition of surrealism, it aims at getting in the brain what is far away from conciousness but it has a strong presence. This is it: hands that you feel will break into peaces. Manuel.

Thank you all very much for nice comments. The original image is a baby sparrow that fell from the nest when it tried to fly and my friend collected it (my friend's hands in the photo). I had a chance to take some photos before we put it back on its nest. The layer that I used on the hands came from my other image which is dry soil and then blended in PS. The goal of this image that I want to is to show the frailty of humanity (cracked hands). Or is it that we as humans cause fragility to everything we touch?

Great picture and concept. The toning add's a lot of strenght to the image as well. I'm often times a critic of photoshopping results, but you've chosen your application well.

This is an absolutely AWESOME work of art. How did you layer it? I've been working on some of my own photos, trying to achieve similar affects by layering things and I cannot for the life of me figure it out. If you have suggestions, please email kelly_lynn_mitchell_@hotmail.com. Again, beautiful work.

A touching picture, 'surreal' may describe the style but this picture goes beyond just art. 'Fragile' is an apt title, beautiful in both technique and in subject.

I think it conveys the idea that both the bird and the person are fragile, and that both need each other to survive. In this instant both would lose something without the other; the bird its life, the person a piece of their soul.

Thanks for making my Friday a brighter one.
