afterthoughts 0 Posted August 22, 2004 Okay, here it is. The balance in this image is perfect. The two children on the right balance with the two pictures on the wall on the left. Also, the dark shadow under the bench supports the negative space above the pictures. As for interest, there is plenty of that. Very well done. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted August 22, 2004 The only (small) nit I have is that I would like their shoes to be completely in the shot. I like the balance in this one. The neutral wall, with the bright images, worked well as a backdrop. Link to comment
paul_scott1 0 Posted August 22, 2004 Missing shoes. Too dark darks around the faces and bodies so that I cannot see the forms properly. Who is supposed to relax? What's the function of the top space? What's the relationship between the people and the pictures? Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 22, 2004 Nicely ballanced composition Francesco, the only thing IMO is to crop a bit the upper part and give it a panoramic shape, that will go nicely with the line of paintings on the wall, and the bench. but it is me.... nice image. Pnina Link to comment

paul_scott1 0 Posted August 23, 2004 That's my critique. A photo can have an idea which connects all the elements in the photograph. This is a photo of a square somewhere with two people sitting on a bench near some paintings. I can take a photo of a car driving down the road, a cat sat on a mat, a man in a van, an elephant with a broom, a cow with a calf. An idea is something else. It's academic if that's not what you want to do. But that's my critique (as requested). Link to comment
