roger___3 0 Posted August 19, 2004 The peak highlighted by the last of the evening sun is Mt. Bierstadt in the Colorado rockies and is on of the many 14,000 peaks in Colorado. Comments and ratings all helpful and appreciated! Link to comment
greg mccracken 13 Posted August 19, 2004 Roger, You are so lucky to have the opportunity to take a shot at a location like that. You have done a grood job at it. I would like to add a few ideas which might have perked it up a bit; I like brightly saturated photos so many may not agree, I am just describing my taste...adding a clour enhancng filter or polarizer would have perked up the colours more to my tastes.(You could probably do the same thing in PS). Lacking the complex detailed clouds in the sky, moving the horizon higher may have improved the shot and allowed more interesting foreground grass. If you had the opprtunity to find calm water closer to the mountians so they appeared larger would also help in my opinion. This is only if that was a possibility, however. A similar example which covers the points I mentioned can be seen here...http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2582441 As I said, I only mentioned some ideas I had as I would love to have been there with you! henrimanguy 0 Posted September 1, 2005 Nice landscape. Do you know if the name of the Mount Bierstadt is from the name of the famous american painter Bierstadt who has paint so much of american landscapes in the XIXth century ? It would be justice for him to have his name in the landscapes he loved so much. Link to comment
