great pattern, but poor technically, the lack of contrast and colors washes the image energy away, also there is something missing from the image, can you guess what it is?

The symmetry is off. That is the most important element to this shot, in my opinion. Get that front pyramid lined up in the frame correctly then get at a better angle. After that, you're on your own.

I think that you could play with the contrast and the colors to make this image stronger... I was there also and did something similar. My impression is that you need to add a visual stopper (it can be the horizon) at the end of the frame. If not, the eyes feel uncomfortable when they reach the upper parts... just some thoughts.
