Taken while swimming with the kids in Lahaina. The light was just

Another gem. Beautiful light.

Great light. The tones in the wave crest are absolutely superb. Fantastic color at the water edge to the left. Very very nice.

While the lighting is indeed *golden*, I am not so sure including the hotel in the image will work as well as sticking to more of the natural type of scenery. Just a thought. Still nice work. 6/5

Actually, I like the light on the hotel because it is reflecting the sun. It feels warm and gives me that end of a great day feeling.

Hotel, no hotel ... I just love the sky and the wave. Makes me relaxed just thinking about it. :-)

You could probably sell this one to the hotel! Nice lighting and colors.

Lovely lighting, really nice detail in the water. Looks like you really had to work on the hotel to give it any detail.

Thank you all for providing feedback, really appreciate it. Vincent, I too wish the hotel wasn't there, but since I have lots of 'luggage,' I can't wander off too far (heck, we didn't even make it to Akaka or Rainbow Falls even when we stay right in Hilo, remember the MacNut farm story?!) I'll just have to settle with a hotel on the beach pix. ^_^

No one mentioned that the mountain in the backround looks like a big swell of the wave. The light on the actual wave is beautiful. The hotel reminds me that civilization is not far off. I like that!

Jayme, that's what it was, but I just couldn't figure out why. Knowing that civilization is nearby is comforting to some of us, I think. Ken, didn't have to work anything at all with the hotel. Thanks. ^_^

Very clear and very pleasing. I like this image. I could only consider cropping it to make it more like a panorama.
