"Le Garçon" - A Fantasy in Smoke

I'm curious as to how this was acheived. Beautiful colors, no doubt. Was this done in Camera or on post processing? Regards, J.

The set-up used is described in the Tech Details. The colors are as captured, with considerable saturation push. The levels are adjusted as needed to give a black background and reduce/eliminate stray whisps of faint smoke and digital dark-noise. There is usually a little edge enhancement applied.

 

I do a little as possible to the original. I just shoot LOTS of frames, around 150 per session, and pick a few to prepare for printing and posting.
