fernando penim redondo 0 Posted August 12, 2004 End of the day in Los Angeles. I had to overcome some obstacles to shoot, from a distance, the best momment (they were not jumping) Link to comment
michael_marx 0 Posted August 12, 2004 I like this shot. Although, all the wires make the picture look kind of "busy." Link to comment
Wayne Melia 6,000 Posted August 14, 2004 Fine work here. The essence of "a moment frozen in time", or whatever the phrase is. The geometry, I think, is mostly what makes it work so well. The diminutive size of the humans in relation to the other elements, especially when those other elements are so graphically strong, carries to reinforce the "momentness" of them being exactly here only once in eternity. Without the frame of the sails, the figures would be nothing interesting in their own, and without the figures, the sails and sunset would be just another pretty sails and sunset with no time dimension. The detail in the lower right sail adds reality of depth (a bit of detail in the other sails would be even better? but probably would have lost the rest of the photo). Thanks for sharing and indulgence of my rambling, which is mostly an exercise for my own benefit to force myself to better understand why things work when they do. hashim a 0 Posted August 16, 2004 Great lines throughout the image, nice silhouette of the trapeze artists as well. Link to comment
