aepelbacher 0 Posted August 10, 2004 This is simply spectacular. It almost looks manipulated. But I believe you when you say it's not. :-) I love the glow of the individual lines in the buildings, and the colors in the flag really round out your composition. Great!! Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted August 10, 2004 Well done. Love the composition, color, and DOF. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted August 10, 2004 Well, Lou, Howard, Ray, the only difference is I used the auto white balance to get the colors here from the D70. The spotlights used at the Twin Towers are not tungsten but bright white lights. Had a great time there - and KL has Starbucks and Hard Rock Cafe too! Great band so Bilal Zaheer (PN member) and I stayed till 2.30 am. Link to comment
erikadams 0 Posted August 10, 2004 Great image, Alec. I'm curious - was there reflected glare from the spotlights? Was that why you used the CP filter? Nice work. Link to comment
tan 0 Posted August 10, 2004 Nice lines and great angle/perspective, but I think you know what I am going to say ... would have been better with a twilight-blue sky. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted August 10, 2004 Thanks for coming by everyone. Erik Adams, I used the polarising filter to cut the reflection and also the metallic glare from the aluminium panels. Bob, I still have some taken earlier with blue sky and will probably submit it soon. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted August 10, 2004 It's the country's pride and joy. You got to see it to enjoy the true beauty of the metallic structure. Awesome! Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted August 10, 2004 Alec, nice use of wide angle to emphasize the towers' enormity. Magnificent architecture and indeed the pride and joy of Malaysia, even though the Sabahans and Sarawakans may or may not readily agree ^_^. Can't wait for your twilight version of this like Bob suggested. Nice shot still. Link to comment
maria conversano 0 Posted August 10, 2004 Great picture with a fantastic prospective! Link to comment
Bilal Zaheer 0 Posted August 11, 2004 Alec I think this is the best one of that day. Very well captured. The flag seems to be glowing by itself! Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted August 11, 2004 Thanks Bilal, where's yours? Wilson, another one attached as promised. Link to comment
robert goldstein 0 Posted August 11, 2004 Very cool. Great composition and colors. The black background makes it all sizzle. Link to comment
