1000wordsphotography 0 Posted August 7, 2004 A special capture for me. Your thoughts are welcome. Link to comment
johncrosley 0 Posted August 7, 2004 You're right Regina, it's a special capture. (One might surmise from looks, however, that this particular God is not a Goddess, and therefore that it's not an expression of a feminist viewpoint . . . ?) Or just a nice caption . . . no matter what your point of view. . . after all you have to write something to go with such a wonderful image. I never rate cloud images, but this one IS special. Regards, John. Link to comment
DavidRabinowitz 8 Posted August 7, 2004 looks a little like George Washington..nice capture. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted August 7, 2004 PS adjustments were, desaturation, minor contrast adjustments and slight cropping. Original shot was taken late afternoon. The clouds were slightly pinkish and the sky a cyan blue. I prefered the black and white. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted August 7, 2004 LOL... I too saw that resemblance. Perhaps it is the Father of our Country surveying the political climate in this election year...*smile*. The title is from the words to a song. "From a Distance". Link to comment
eric_alper 0 Posted August 7, 2004 wow, that really looks like a face. is that natural? Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted August 7, 2004 Yup... it is natural. Scratching my head a the 2/2 rating. Is it that bad a shot? Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted August 7, 2004 No ... not at all a bad shot ... just a disgruntled rater. This is really cool, Regina! And, I like the reference to the song (love the song!) I almost can not believe that the clouds were actually shaped like this all by themselves without help from your mouse. BUT ... I trust you (!!) and do believe! (Isn't that what the meaning of "faith" is?) :-D Great capture. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 8, 2004 no its not a 2/2...that would be all black or all white or blurry or have your finger in it. fun to find images in clouds. Shall we name him Ken? Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted August 8, 2004 I expect him to have gusts of wind coming out of his mouth any minute. Great capture, Regina. Love the B&W treatment. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted August 8, 2004 Here is the original. My PS changes to this are listed in a comment above. Link to comment
jos www.inpix.biz 0 Posted August 10, 2004 Very Cool, Regina. This is called timing and being ready to take the shot. It is my opion that the 'All That Is' seems puzzled. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted August 10, 2004 On our trip, I kept seeing many different faces, forms, etc., in the clouds, but the surrounding areas didn't work well with any of my shots (power lines, buildings and so on). I like the foreground you have with this one - it really makes the "face" stand out. Link to comment
nomade 1 Posted August 31, 2004 I almost cannot believe that such a cloud is real. What a capture!! Link to comment
