massicricco 0 Posted August 5, 2004 A very well composed picture. It suggests the idea of quiet. (6/7) Link to comment

d2f 0 Posted August 7, 2004 There is a story being told here but I am not sure what it is. The energy of the image is grounded and becomes static due largerly in part to the centered subject and distracting frame lines. Personally I would have burned in the plant life on both left and right sides of the image such that the eye of the veiwer is drawn to the subject. Likewise I would have cropped the upper structure, because the sharp high contrast lines draw the eye away. Assuming this is a candid shot there is little else one can do outide of touching up the lighted center, ie. light at the end of the tunnel. Like all recommendations try them and then decide their value. Link to comment
robert holmes 0 Posted August 8, 2004 This is a good, old-fashioned, "against the Light" photo.....It looks good....One wonders whether he is about to get mugged, but I believe New York has improved in that department in the last ten years... Link to comment

rkfoxman 0 Posted August 9, 2004 Burning the foliage could be a good idea. Not sure if I like the shot with the structure cropped out since in itself it contributes to the overall mood/appearance of the picture. Link to comment
christopher_phillips 0 Posted August 10, 2004 This is very "25th Hour" with Monty and his dog, Doyle. One of the key scenes took place here. Excellent photo relative to that tidbit though! Kudos! Link to comment
