ljk 0 Posted August 5, 2004 Preparing veggies for dinner in a stainless steel bowl, I became fascinated by the reflections, so I took it outside to utilize the natural late afternoon light... Besides a slight saturation of the peppers, this is straight out of the camera... Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted August 5, 2004 Hey, Linda!! I've been experimenting with greys for the canvas extension to use with the drop shadow and can't seem to get it right. Would you give me the #'s that you're using (noticed that Roger is getting it correct, too!) By the way ... this is cool ... great textures here. I love the peppers against the onions. Did you crop the top and bottom? I would have liked to see just a tiny bit more there. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted August 5, 2004 I cropped it in my lens, specifically to go to the edge... Don't know the number, but it was from a web color page in the red tones.... Link to comment
johnz 0 Posted August 5, 2004 Amazing how you can take a creative salad and make it into a creative shot. Wonderful! Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted August 5, 2004 First the photo, then two questions. Really like the idea. The color and subject is great. I am wondering about the crop from a symetry standpoint. Question #1: Would the image work better if the bottom of the plate was cropped the same way as the top of the plate? Question #2: How do you do the drop shadow thing? Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted August 5, 2004 I like the composition as it is. Cropping the bottom would make it too symmetrical imo and lose that nice highlight too. Link to comment

kyang 0 Posted August 5, 2004 beautiful colors and interesting subject. However, I think the reflective light in the bottom is a little distracting. Link to comment
