Bread crumbs. It looks as though he's leaving a trail. I guess if I had taken this picture, I would have composed it straight on, from the top of steps, with the rails coming out of the sides of the frame, but this slanted composition is a better set-up. It makes me think the journey has already started...

Did you put the crumbs there? If yes that's just brilliant (and if not, its brilliant to have seen that :)!! It creates a lead from the eye-catching white leaf on the dark step down the stairs to where the yourney goes (and someone has gone before..).

Beautiful composition.

Great perspective...dizzying. Energy shifting as the journey begins...

Excellent composition, but I would prefer to crop out the white object at the foreground--I find it too distracting from the main subject, the man in the distance to whom the eye naturally follows (but for the white foreground object).

I know all these places on this photos and I never thought to make photos like these. Maybe becaus when I'm near these places I'm still sleeping or I'm tired :)
